FARM TO BAR
We use cacao beans from our own farms in Cambodia, as well as from associated farmers in the region. Nearly a third of our farmers and employees come from indigenous tribes such as the Bunong and Krung. Together with our sister company, Kamkav Farm, we become the first cacao farmers in the history of Cambodia in 2014. We purposefully chose the hilly lands of Mondulkiri for its milder, rainier climate, higher altitudes, fertile red volcanic soil, access to Cambodia's largest waterfalls for fresh water supply, and the majestic presence of wild and domestic Asian elephants.
Our cacao is grown as an agro-forestry crop, interspersed with forest and fruit trees. This natural setup negates the need for chemical pesticides, allowing for natural pest control.
POLYPHENOLS & CADMIUM
Lab tests have shown that cacao beans from this region (which we now call Bunong Cacao) contain 6.067% (powerful plant antioxidants) - the highest amount ever recorded in cacao beans worldwide.
Additionally, Bunong Cacao is almost free of cadmium and lead, a growing concern in cacao beans from other regions, especially Meso-America.
FRIEND OF THE EARTH
In December 2023, the WSO awarded Kamkav Farm the Friend of the Earth certification, recognizing that our cacao is grown sustainably, benefiting both the environment and local communities. CFARM, the Cambodia Cacao Farmers NGO also support this sustainable mission by assisting farmers in maintaining eco-friendly practices.
VEGAN
In 2023, we received Vegan certification, confirming that all our chocolate products are entirely plant-based, using coconut milk powder instead of dairy ingredients.
NO WHITE SUGAR
Drach-oc chocolate container no white sugar. Instead, we use blossom sugar derived from Coco Nucifera trees in Indonesia. This sugar is unrefined, unblended, and organic.
MALAYSIAN CHOCOLATE MAKERS
Drach-oc chocolates are handcrafted in Malaysia by some of the country's most skilled chocolatiers. They often look to the Malaysian rainforests for natural flavor inspiration, using ingredients like pandan leaves. For other natural flavors, such as honeydew melon, yuzu, and strawberry, we source ingredients from across East and Southeast Asia.
DRAGON CHARACTERS
Each box of chocolate is illustrated with a dragon character from the Dragon Manga "Drach-Oc: The Prophecy". On the dark chocolate box, you'll find Drach-oc himself; on the mellow milk chocolate, Mizuki; on the pandan chocolate, Tongtongi; and on the honeydew melon chocolate, Riven. The Drach-oc manga is written by Stefan Struik (Netherlands) and illustrated by Darja Blinova (Estonia). Episodes of this manga are available for purchase in hard copy on our website or can be read for free on the Webtoon app.

STORAGE CONDITIONS
Store in a cool, dry place between 15 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius to maintain freshness and quality. Avoid direct sunlight and strong odors. Do not refrigerate.
